Entegris is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for particle analyzer and concentration monitor products in Chandler, AZ as part of the Scientific Instrument Business Unit within Entegris’ Advanced Material Handling division. This segment develops technologies that support design and development of the most advanced semiconductor applications in the world.

The Sr. Electrical Engineer will design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment, including PCB assemblies, sensor electrical components, test apparatus and will oversee the manufacture of these devices, systems, and equipment. This role is also critical in terms of managing external partners on mechanical and electrical engineering projects and supporting software engineering projects as related to integration with product design and function.

What You'll Do:

  • Serving as the electrical subject matter expert for designing, maintaining, implementing, and improving products, electrical instruments, components, or systems for industrial or commercial purposes

  • Leading, coordinating and supporting projects, design reviews, prototyping efforts, documentation, manufacturing, compliance (including but not limited to RoHS, EMC, CE, safety) or testing activities

  • Writing technical reports and compiling data as evidence to support qualification of product or change to product, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements

  • Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects

  • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment

  • Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials

  • Supervising or training project team members

  • Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation

  • Exhibiting sounds judgement and decision making based on schedule and cost impact

  • Acts as mentor for junior engineers, interns, and co-op roles


What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering degree from an accredited school, advanced degree preferred

  • At least 7+ years of applicable experience in field with progressing responsibilities

  • Experience in using or a desire to learn required software

  • Experience with Altium, Github and similar engineering tools and processes

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management software tools, SAP or other ERP systems

  • Advanced ability to learn new systems and implement the latest technology

  • Experience with optics based systems is a plus

  • Expertise in electrical documentation (wiring schematics, code, etc.)

  • Mechanical aptitude for system troubleshooting (recognize design issues vs software issues) - recommend design changes for overall system improvements

  • Advanced in reviewing and interpreting mechanical and electrical system layouts

  • Ability to quickly prove concepts as fast as possible and prototype

  • Proven ability to innovate and create uncommon solutions for technical challenges

  • Being a great teammate, learning from the depth of experience teammates provide and a desire to share ideas and experiences

  • Motivated and self-directed team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence personnel at all levels within the organization

  • Licensed as a professional engineer is a plus
