Overview

The outbound lead performs tasks associated with moving goods from point to point. The Lead might load

trucks, unload trucks or be asked to supply production areas with product or remove finished goods to a

warehouse storage area. Assist in managing workload and staffing plan for completion of daily production

and appointed task.



Responsibilities

A. Assist Operations Supervisor to Ensure; Building Safety & Planning · Ensure all Safety documents are signed of on and all safety procedures are followed · All PPE are in place and used as instructed · Ensure lifts are signed out and inspected

B. Assist Operations Supervisor to Ensure; Labor Planning · Plan labor to follow production or customer needs · Utilize labor for VAS (value added services) · Remove excessive labor for profitability and efficiency · Track and train associates to maximize utilization · Assist in retention and turnover

C. Work Closely with the Operations Supervisor to Support Staff Development by Cross Training/On-Job Training · Conduct daily start up meetings and present daily plan and provide updates · Train, motivate and assist in the development and growth of employees · Implement and maintain continuous improvement program · Challenge employees to be more productive

D. Support and assist the Operations Supervisor Implement Productivity Improvements · Study processes using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S Methodology to improve processes and eliminate waste · Improve processes when possible and implement them as new standards



Qualifications

- Good Communication Skills - Requires eyesight and hearing for computer and forklifts in the area - Requires color-sight for color-coded items, clear speech for communicating - Ability to hear, see, and speak; in person, or by computer, telephone, 2-way radio, cell phone - Analytical and problem solving ability

- High School Diploma or GED - Leadership experience or the ability to lead associates - Food grade facility experience, a plus - Warehouse leadership, a plus - Forklift license, a plus - Know or be able to learn WMS and customer ERP if necessary - Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required - HighJump WMS experience, a plus - SAP experience, a plus
