Summary: We are seeking a dynamic Senior Analyst to support our Vendor Incentives teams based in the US and India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in analyzing contractual incentive programs for vendors or other key stakeholders. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely recording and analysis of periodic activities, as well as financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP accounting principles and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Prepare vendor incentive income calculations, analyses, and period-end journal entries to ensure the general ledger accurately reflects income recognition and vendor receivables.
Perform analytical reviews and interpret financial data, providing understandable explanations to non-financial business partners.
Prepare and maintain schedules and supporting documentation needed for management, vendors, and stakeholders.
Monitor vendor purchases to determine the status of reaching volume thresholds as required in contracts.
Periodically review contracts to ensure the most recent terms are being used in calculations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchants, Accounts Payable, Finance, Operations, and IT.
Assist in period, quarter, and year-end close processes and audits.
Resolve vendor questions and disputes.
Identify continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance financial controls.
Skills:
Solid understanding of US GAAP and other accounting principles.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Team player who also works well independently.
Strong analytical, organizational, and conflict-solving skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle Cloud ERP, Blackline, and/or AS400
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business (Master's degree preferred)
3+ years of accounting or Accounts Payable experience ideally analyzing and recording incentives from key constituents, ideally Vendors.
Strong experience dealing directly with Vendors and/or Procurement will also be considered.
