Your Role:



MilliporeSigma is seeking a Global Demand Planner. The Global Demand Planner is integral to the End-to-End Supply Chain Organization and is responsible for the execution of the commercial requirements for a specific Business Field within the Science & Lab Solutions (SLS) product portfolio.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the demand forecast for the product portfolio globally to sustain product availability, support new product introductions, and evaluate sales and market dynamics

  • Work closely with other teams to optimize planning and ensure company has "the right products, at the right quantity, in the right place" to meet our customers' demand

  • Drive and support continuous global improvement activities to improve the overall supply chain performance

  • Participate in development of Integrated Business Management (IBM) processes and appropriate information flows with the main partners: Sales, Marketing, Network Planning and Production Planning



This position can be filled in either St. Louis, MO or Burlington, MA.



Who You Are:




Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Economics or other Business field

  • 4 + years of professional experience in Demand Planning, Operations or Supply Chain Management




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proven track record of managing performance and activities through monitoring of key metrics, such as forecast accuracy, inventory, fill rate and backorder

  • General knowledge of SLS or like business portfolios

  • Strength in interpersonal relationships, between customers, suppliers, departmental resources, and inter-company contacts across a global environment

  • Capable of solving complex business issues and develop creative solutions in a team environment

  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and project management skills

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with changing priorities

  • Ability to lead or coordinate cross-functional teams

  • Good knowledge in SAP, Oracle and Advanced Planning System (Logility, etc.)

  • Well-developed analytical skills

  • Possess a strong business acumen
