Position Summary | The PSU Food Pantry is one of the largest pantries in the Portland Metro region distributing upwards of 10,000 pounds of food to The Food Pantry Coordinator oversees the PSU Food Pantry’s programs including the main pantry, mini-pantries, and monthly Free Food Market. The Coordinator is responsible for developing student employees and personnel-related tasks for up to a dozen student employees and up to 100 volunteers annually. This position is responsible for operations and logistics such as food sourcing, handling, and safety compliance. The Food Pantry Coordinator oversees outreach and communication to campus and community partners and donors while working to increase utilization of the Pantry and improve food security for Portland State students. Additionally, this position oversees the budget, spending, and ethical fiscal stewardship. |

Work Days/Hours | 40 hours per week. Scheduled hours can range from 7am to 7pm Mon-Fri; some evenings/nights and weekends required for supporting pantry operations and department events. |
Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity. The starting annual salary for this position will be $54,684, but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
