Job Description

CSCI is looking for a motivated Junior SharePoint Developer to join our team. As a Junior SharePoint Developer, you will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint solutions to enhance collaboration, productivity, and information management within the organization. The ideal candidate will have some experience or familiarity with SharePoint development and be eager to learn and grow in a dynamic technical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, customization, and configuration of SharePoint sites, workflows, and applications based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and create SharePoint solutions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of SharePoint site collections, lists, libraries, and other SharePoint components.
  • Write and maintain scripts using PowerShell to automate SharePoint tasks and processes.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint-related issues and providing technical support to end users.
  • Help maintain the SharePoint environment, ensuring it is secure, up-to-date, and operating efficiently.
  • Contribute to the integration of SharePoint with other enterprise systems and applications.
  • Participate in quality assurance (QA) testing to ensure solutions meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation and provide user training as required.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
  • Basic understanding of SharePoint (2013, 2016, 2019, or SharePoint Online) and its features (e.g., document libraries, lists, workflows).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and .NET.
  • Exposure to SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, or Power Apps/Power Automate is a plus.
  • Understanding of database technologies (SQL Server) and web development concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SharePoint Online (Office 365) and Microsoft 365 tools like Teams and OneDrive.
  • Basic experience with PowerShell scripting is a plus.
  • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
  • Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
