This role is working with a premier nationwide General Contractor that had $1bn in revenue last year and is projecting even more growth this year. This firm has a number of offices across the country, with more opening in other locations in the near future. Most of their projects are across the East Coast and Southern region. Their DC regional office has been around for 5 years and closed with $100m revenue last year, with higher revenue predicted for 2024 and beyond.
Your new role
Within this position, you will be focusing on base-build projects in and around the DC Metro area and Maryland. Projects could be in a multitude of sectors including Senior Living, Automotive/Dealerships, Cannabis, Hospitality, Education (K-12 & Higher Ed), Government, Healthcare, Industrial/Warehouse, Multifamily, Retail, Self-storage and more. Their primary focus right now is to staff 2 Senior Living facilities located in Central & Southern Maryland. Within this position, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing and managing the construction project in adherence to the plans, timescales and budgets
Coordinating with subcontractors, architects and engineers to ensure project quality and safety
Developing the project schedule with the preconstruction and project management team
Monitoring progress, budget and schedule adherence
Addressing unexpected issues and problem-solving to keep the project on track
Conducting weekly coordination and safety meetings with the production crew
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate:
Experience working on base-build projects in the senior living or multifamily sectors, with a minimum of 100 units in the project
Experience with large wood frame structures
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and safety practices
Proficiency in reading plans and specifications
Proficiency in construction related software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, etc.
