Your Role: IT Information Security Intern

As an IT Information Security Intern, you will be part of IT team to ensure a secure Elanco IT network and contribute to Elanco’s ongoing effort to protect our information. You will work alongside Elanco Information Security experts on a real-life project/solution.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional teams to provide analytical solutions at Elanco


• Network with Elanco employees and demonstrate leadership capabilities


• Interns will be responsible for a specific project to be completed within the 12-week timeframe  


• All interns are required to present their projects to a large group at the end of the 12-week period


• Expected to network within the organization and demonstrate leadership capabilities

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Education: Currently enrolled in information security related degree program e.g.: Information Security, Computer Science, Informatics or related majors


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including speaking, and presentation skills


• Strong organizational and time management skills


• Individuals with integrity, excellence, and respect for people


• Individuals who are willing to tackle complex problems with innovative solutions related to information security


• Have an interest in security of information at a large corporation

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

• Have an interest in data analytics, information science or animal health


• Excellent organizational and time management skills


• Highly motivated and driven leaders


• Strong sense of initiative and learning agility


• Proven to be self-motivated, with demonstrated high level of responsibility and professionalism


• Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision


• Ability to make decisions within the context of uncertainty and ambiguity

Our internship program is designed to provide students with experiences! Internships are project based and comprised of business-critical needs. All interns have the opportunity to significantly impact Elanco’s success over the summer and kickstart a career that counts.

• Internship Dates: May 19th – August 8th (12 Weeks)


• Competitive salary: $20-$40/hour (dependent upon major and year in school)
