Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to support the HI EDW (Enterprise Datawarehouse) within the Enterprise Datawarehouse and Analytics group. The Data Engineer will work with large healthcare datasets, translating client business requirements into enterprise systems, applications, or process designs for complex health data solutions. The role involves driving and supporting initiatives for the HI EDW, as well as participating in data usage, governance, information management, privacy, security, SOA, data analytics, visualization, and information modeling.



Responsibilities:

Utilize 5+ years of data engineering experience with a focus on data warehousing.

Create pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF) with at least 2 years of experience.

Develop ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools (minimum 5 years).

Work with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server) for at least 5 years.

Create stored procedures using Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL, or Snowflake SQL (minimum 3 years).

Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., GitHub, SVN) with 2+ years of experience.

Process structured and unstructured data for at least 2 years.

Experience with HL7 and FHIR standards for processing files in these formats.

Analyze project requirements and develop detailed ETL specifications (minimum 3 years).

Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines.

Adapt to evolving technologies and changing business requirements.

Hold a Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology/Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Analytics, Business).

Qualifications:

Data engineering expertise with a focus on data warehousing (5+ years).

Proficiency in creating pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) (2+ years).

Extensive experience developing ETL processes (Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, ADF, or similar tools) for at least 5 years.

Preferred Skills/Attributes:

Batch or PowerShell scripting (2+ years).

Python scripting experience.

Data modeling in a data warehouse environment (minimum 3 years).

Familiarity with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (Data Integration).

Designing and building APIs in Snowflake and ADF (e.g., REST, RPC).

Knowledge of State Medicaid/Medicare/Healthcare applications.

Azure certifications related to data engineering or data analytics.
