Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Smyrna, TN. This is a direct hire FTE role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a widely respected organization in the industry and build your experience in CAD Design.

Responsibilities:

• Day to day: 75% Design, 25% Program (i.e., Stakeholder engagement to understand applications)


• Mechanical Engineer will design and develop Special Service Tools in support of customer Tool program


• Create 3D Models and 2D Mechanical Drawings (CAD)


• Gather tool requirements and application information


• As a Mechanical Engineer, you will develop tooling concepts and solutions


• Develop tool mock-ups, prototypes (e.g., 3D printing)


• Test and validate tools on vehicles or vehicle subsystems

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering


• Entry level candidates would only be considered with 3 years of internship experience


• Minimum of 2-4+ years of relative work experience


• Tool/Automotive related background would work well with this role

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
