Description

Vitalant is seeking a Staff Accountant to handle a variety of general accounting tasks. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, creating audit schedules, and carrying out other assigned duties. This position will work in the Scottsdale, AZ National Headquarters 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week in a hybrid work environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collects, analyzes and records fixed assets, coordinates physical inventory counts, and prepares depreciation and other fixed asset schedules.


• Prepares monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.


• Reconciles subsidiary ledger to general ledger and prepares adjustments.


• Prepares journal entries for monthly closings.


• Participates in system updates.

Requirements

Knowledge/ Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience
One year of accounting experience preferred.

Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
