Duties

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family.
  
  


• Promotes patient health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process and State Nurse Practice Act standards.
  
  


• Conducts assessments of physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  
  


• Develops and implements patient plans of care and evaluates outcomes.
  
  


• Performs therapeutic/diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, and medication administration.
  
  


• Advocates for patient rights and collaborates on safety measures.
  
  


• Provides patient/family education, evaluates learning readiness, and effectiveness of teaching.
  
  


• Delivers compassionate, relationship-based care that respects individual values and diversity.
  
  


• Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel per policy.
  
  


• Manages resources effectively to provide high-quality, cost-effective care.
  
  


• Acts as a professional role model and mentor for staff.
  
  


• Participates in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research activities.
  
  


• Maintains professional records and seeks continuing education opportunities.
  
  

Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.
  
  


• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
  
  

Float Requirements

• Float assignments may include duties outside original job requirements.
  
  

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
  
  


• Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred.
  
  


• State RN license or RN license from participating NLC states required.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

• Night shifts (7:00 pm to 7:30 am)
  
  


• Requires postpartum LDRP experience
  
  


• Ratios: Primarily 1:1 in labor, 1:2 in early labor, 1-2 to 3 postpartum couplets
  
  


• Number of Deliveries per month: Approximately 30
  
  


• Circulate C-Sections: Yes Days Per Week: 3.00
