Job Opportunity: THA Team Lead

Reports to: Manufacturing Manger

Job Location: North Logan, UT

Hours/Days of Position: M-TH 4pm - 2:30am


At Spartronics, the Team Leaders works with and directs the work assignments of team members who perform a variety of functions that directly or indirectly support production functions such as production assembly and machine operation. They execute production plan completion and mentor team members. They Improve the quality and output of production. All essential job functions will be focused on the production area of responsibility. While working directly on the product being built, continuous improvement will be a priority. Opportunities will be identified by both team members and the Production Manager and will be escalated by the Leader.


What a Day Looks Like:

  • Promotes and ensures all team members follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
  • Ensures quality objectives are attained
  • Responds to all quality non-compliance events
  • Performs quality improvement activities to attain quality metric goals
  • Completes Production Plan
  • Actively works on and balances daily activities to complete production plan
  • Balances time working on the floor and completing paperwork responsibilities
  • Escalates issues that impact safety, product quality, and production schedule
  • Performs daily problem-solving activities with assistance of management and engineering teams
  • Leads Continuous Improvement activities
  • Under Manager supervision, monitor performance, mentors, and provides coaching to area team
  • Under Manager supervision, completes reviews, development plans, and other managerial activities
  • Ensures team member capability and productivity – full team capability for all assemblies
  • Expedites product through the manufacturing process in an efficient manner
  • Coordinates and completes work order cleanup as part of production plan
  • Ensures completion of preventative maintenance to attain metric goals
  • Completes a verbal and written pass-down at the end of the shift to the shift manager
  • Reduces conversion time of assemblies
  • Manages area 6S (5S + Safety) activities to have a spotless, organized production floor at times
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:

What You'll Need to Bring:


Education-

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate degree in business or technical field (preferred)

Experience-

  • 3+ years' experience in manufacturing operations
  • 2+ years' experience in a supervisory capacity managing people
  • 1+ years' experience as a Back-Up Lead will qualify as supervisory experience

Skills-

  • Passion for the success, development, and engagement of team members
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members in a team or individual setting
  • Knowledge of product manufacturing and QMS
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing- waste reduction and improvement
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing principles including Six Sigma and Lean (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Suite
