Porters I work across departments to ensure that staff and associates have what they need at the point in time when they need it. Whether delivering items directly to staff or providing support to housekeeping, warehouse, food service, office space, or other areas that need assistance, our Porter I move about their space to get the job done. They are critical to ensure smooth operations throughout the entire facility.


Essential Functions:



  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance, reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

  • Run, walk/drive files to/from field offices/sites

  • Basic housekeeping: Picking up trash, sweeping, fridge, shredding paper

  • Assist in operating access doors and answering phones

  • Personal Property Management: Tagging, bagging, sealing, storing, retrieval

  • Meal Prep: Heating meals, receiving meals, distribution of food, fill water jugs, provide cups

  • Warehouse: Receive/distribute; this includes necessities such as clothes, blankets, personal care items, etc.

  • Warehouse: Restock, organize, sort, and label supply items; clean, organize, and stock locations that house overstock items; pack, re-locate, and distribute supplies to stations/ports

  • Supply Runs: Pick up pre-purchased items, such as food, and supplies, to/from vendor and location

  • Prescription Medicine Runs: Pick up medical prescriptions from local pharmacies.

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats, including small print; visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines

  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must practice good judgment and demonstrate a high level of integrity

  • Must be proactive; take initiative with minimal supervision

  • Must be resourceful; think critically and find solutions even without the obvious resources

  • Must be able to navigate challenging situations while remaining positive

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

  • Deployed Services operates 24 hours/365 days and requires the flexibility to work additional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays 



    Education and Experience:



    • High School diploma (or equivalent) required

    • Evidence of being at least twenty-one (21) years of age pursuant to government contract eligibility requirement

    • Must be able to produce immunization records or submit to employer-provided immunizations

    • Valid driver’s license preferred but not required

    • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps and lift up to 55lbs

    • Must be a U.S. citizen or have a permanent residency card. Additionally, must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years

    • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)

    • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
