The Maintenance Specialist II will perform routine facility maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.  Following standard operating procedures, install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.  

Essential Functions:  

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues or necessary repairs 


• Execute preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns 


• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment and systems, including but not limited to electrical circuits, plumbing fixtures, and HVAC units 


• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance work that cannot be handled in-house 


• Manage maintenance supplies and tools inventory, ensuring that necessary materials are on hand for routine and emergency repairs 


• Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with regulatory requirements 


• Document maintenance activities, including detailing repairs made, parts used, and time spent, to maintain accurate records for future reference 


• Oversee the setup and breakdown of equipment and furnishings for special events, ensuring that facilities are prepared and returned to normal operation promptly 


• Other duties as assigned 

Knowledge and Skills:  

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills  


• Knowledge of common tools, parts, and mechanical materials 


• Ability to read and interpret owner’s manuals, equipment schematics, and work orders 


• General knowledge of safe working practices 


• Ability to manage multiple tasks daily and heavy-lifting 


• Great organizational skills 


• Must be able to read, speak, and write English

  Deployed Services operates 24 hours/365 days and requires the flexibility to work additional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays

  
  

Education and Experience:  

• High School diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in fields like Industrial Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering Technology is preferred


• A Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification or HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) is highly recommended  


• 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance position, including some of the following:

• Tasks vary daily, and some heavy lifting is required  


• Must possess a valid driver’s license 


• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 


• Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) 


• Must pass a motor vehicle record check, as well as an employer and government (eQip or eApp) background checks after accepting a conditional offer of employment
