Maintenance Specialist at Deployed Services, LLC in Carrizo Springs, Texas

The Maintenance Specialist will perform routine mechanical equipment and utilities maintenance, minor construction and demolition services, plumbing, structural and electrical repairs, and emergency repairs as needed.  

Essential Functions: 

• Perform general maintenance functions for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems 


• Perform general maintenance functions for temporary facilities, buildings, and tented structures to include carpentry or similar repairs


• Install all above systems under guidance of licensed or trained supervisors


• Operate site equipment to include but not limited to work carts and yard maintenance equipment


• Repair company equipment as needed to maintain serviceable condition


• Coordinate service calls when required 


• Other duties as assigned 

Knowledge and Skills: 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills  


• Knowledge of common tools, parts, and mechanical materials


• Ability to read and interpret owner’s manuals, equipment schematics, and work orders 


• General knowledge of safe working practices 


• Ability to manage multiple tasks daily and heavy lifting


• Great organizational skills 


• Must be able to read, speak, and write English  


• Deployed Services operates 24 hours/365 days and requires the flexibility to work additional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays

Education and Experience: 

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent


• 2+ years’ experience in a maintenance position, including some of the following: 
  
  
  
  • Electrical 
  
  
  • Plumbing 
  
  
  • Welding 
  
  
  • Carpentry 
  
  
  • HVAC  
  
  
  
  


• Trade school certification relevant to the position, preferred


• Tasks vary daily, and some heavy lifting is required  


• Must possess a valid driver’s license 


• Must be authorized to work in the U.S


• Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) 


• Must pass a motor vehicle record check, as well as an employer and government (eQip or eApp) background checks after accepting a conditional offer of employment
