Business Support Generalist








Posting Summary


Provide financial, operational and administrative support to the Department of Medicine Post Award Team.


Provide post-award support to investigators. Prepare monthly budget reports and monitor expenses. Provide purchasing support. Manage reallocation of designated P-Card expenses. Provide academic and administrative support to designated faculty. Oversee Clinical Trials payment disbursements and service agreements. The Business Support Generalist reports to the Pre-Award Team Lead.



Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)



Associate's degree in financial or business field with one to three years of related experience required. Solid mathematics required. Effective communication, time management and organizational skills. Working knowledge of software applications used to support area functions and internet resources required. Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.



Desirable Qualifications


Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications highly desirable. Experience with grants or clinical trials research highly desirable.



Anticipated Pay Range


$23.50/hour - $26.00/hour

Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
