Job Description:

As Carrier Services Representative, you play a key role in our operations by securing partner carriers for affiliate freight. You build and maintain relationships with carriers, coordinate freight movements and ensure compliance with all legal and procedural standards. Your strong understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, the freight market, and the daily operational aspects of truckload freight propel you to success.

You Will:


  • Secure partner carriers for assigned affiliate freight, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions.

  • Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to coordinate loading, unloading, and delivery schedules for truckload freight.

  • Ensure adherence to all DOT regulations and company policies regarding freight movement and carrier partnerships.

  • Manage and mitigate any issues related to detention, layovers, or other disruptions, working to minimize impact on operations.

  • Monitor market trends and freight rates to optimize carrier relationships and maximize cost efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating contracts and terms as needed to meet business goals.

  • Manage a specific regional territory for a dedicated affiliate customer, handling all carrier-related logistics within the region.

  • Maintain detailed records of carrier performance, shipment data, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, enhance carrier satisfaction, and address operational challenges.

You Have:


  • Work experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

  • Solid understanding of DOT regulations, including safety, compliance, and reporting requirements.

  • Knowledge of truckload freight, including loading/unloading procedures, equipment requirements, and logistical considerations.

  • Familiarity with detention, layovers, and other common industry challenges.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyze market trends and adjust carrier strategies to align with business objectives.
