We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales & Marketing to join our leadership team and drive the success of one of our premier brands across North America and Latin America.


The Vice President of Sales and Marketing will be a key senior leader responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, fostering key relationships, and overseeing all sales and marketing activities to ensure the growth of Welbilt's market-leading brand in the commercial foodservice equipment sector. This role will involve direct oversight of a regional sales team, a robust marketing function, and key customer relationships, with a focus on achieving profitable sales targets and expanding market share in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Caribbean and Mexico.


This position reports directly to the Brand President and will be part of the senior leadership team. While preference is for the role to be based at the corporate office, remote and hybrid options will be considered.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Sales & Marketing Management:

  • Lead the sales team to achieve profitable sales goals across commercial sales activities, while establishing and monitoring performance targets, quotas, and sales territories.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, channel partners, influencers, consultants, and specifiers to drive growth and market share.
  • Develop and implement sales programs, strategies, and policies to support overall business growth, including managing annual contracts with buying groups and chain accounts.
  • Oversee the National Account Program, prioritizing key accounts to ensure continued growth and success.
  • Lead the development of incentive and training programs to enhance sales performance and team capabilities.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategy aimed at increasing brand awareness, generating leads, and supporting the sales pipeline.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to refine strategies and identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.

Strategic Management:

  • Collaborate with the senior management team to shape and execute the overall business strategy, focusing on driving sustainable growth in the commercial brand segment.
  • Develop and manage annual strategic, financial, and capital plans for the Sales & Marketing function, adjusting them based on company performance.
  • Work closely with sister companies within Welbilt to leverage synergies and capitalize on cross-company growth opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment between sales and marketing efforts and corporate objectives, adapting action plans to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, legal standards, and best practices to maintain leadership in the field.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities and performance to senior management.

People Management & Development:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing Sales & Marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Assess and adjust the team's structure and performance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and the competitive landscape.
  • Design and implement training programs, incentive plans, and career development initiatives to empower and enhance team capabilities.
  • Ensure clear, timely communication to align the team with corporate objectives, promote a positive work environment, and maintain high morale.

Financial & Risk Control:

  • Ensure effective financial control and risk management practices are followed within the Sales & Marketing function.
  • Operate in accordance with the Company's code of ethics and professional standards at all times.



Qualifications




Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Sales/Marketing or relevant field is required.
  • At least 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, ideally in the commercial foodservice equipment, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Proven success in managing complex sales organizations that include direct sales team resources across multiple business segments, manufacturer's representative organizations and distribution partners; including but not limited to, driving revenue growth, and achieving sales targets in competitive environments.
  • Deep knowledge of the commercial foodservice market, including key trends, customer demands, and industry dynamics.

Skill and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, with a strong track record of driving growth and exceeding sales targets in a commercial environment.
  • Experience managing a diverse and geographically dispersed sales team.
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans to address market trends and business needs.
  • Outstanding relationship-building and negotiation skills with key customers, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Experience in budget management, strategic planning, and financial oversight.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Consistently operate in a manner that aligns to the Company Core Values.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time domestically and internationally. Valid passport and drivers license required.
  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for extended periods and must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs.
  • Flexible hours and scheduling that includes after hours, travel regionally, locally and requiring overnight.
