Our in-house agency is currently looking for an experienced visual designer who will help create innovative designs forMathWorks marketing communications, numerousinternal programs,videos, and more.

Responsibilities


Responsibilities:







  • Build innovative designs for MathWorks digital marketing programs, internal communications, and corporate meetings


  • Own concepting and design execution for highly visible brand initiatives, managing these projects at a high level (with a design system approach when needed) and with attention to detail on tight deadlines


  • Collaborate cross-functionally-with visual and UX designers, editors, video producers, project managers, vendors, SMEs, and senior leaders


  • Participate in kick-off meetings, tackling ambiguity with thoughtful questions to gain clarity on goals and needs


  • Translate business partner needs into smart, measurable creative strategies that differentiate MathWorks and improve the customer experience


  • Present work to business owners and senior leaders, articulating sound design rationale that aligns with goals and objectives


  • Execute production projects and take all projects to the finish line, finalizing print files to spec and optimizing digital assets


  • Understand and utilize project management applications, digital asset management systems, etc.


  • Provide graphic support for videos and help develop storyboards. Experience with motion graphics and animation is a plus.


  • Help evolve the MathWorks Brand Guide and develop design systems that align with our brand guidelines, web standards, and product design


  • Mentor and delegate work to freelancers, other designers, and interns as needed



Qualifications

Additional Qualifications:









  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of Microsoft Office software


  • Experience defining and working within brand guidelines and specifications


  • Ability to understand and use data to rationalize design decisions and recommendation


  • Online portfolio or equivalent required


  • Plusses:



    • Experience with motion graphics/animation, illustration, and video storyboarding


    • Prior experience working within an Agile environment











Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.
