The Vendor Quality Analyst is responsible for the successful testing of vendor files in accordance with their defined requirements. The Vendor Quality Assurance Analyst works directly with our external vendors during implementations to communicate testing expectations and to work through vendor feedback. They also collaborate internally with our requirements, development, and implementation teams by creating comprehensive test plans and working through ticketing queues to ensure files are completed on time with quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Translates vendor file requirements into test scenarios and test cases
Executes and documents vendor file test plans to ensure compliance with file specifications and industry standards
Collaborates with external vendors and internal teams, including development and operations, to facilitate file testing and resolve any discrepancies
Maintains and coordinates quality assurance ticket tracking with internal teams
Provides regular status of quality assurance items being worked in accordance with overall project timelines
Analyzes test results, identifies issues and trends, and recommends improvements
Assists in updating and maintaining testing and quality assurance protocols
Continuously learn and apply new testing methods and technologies
Help to establish and maintain a vendor test plan library in support of all vendor relationships
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and working history of creating and executing test plans
Microsoft Excel
Understanding of data models/relational databases
Ability to manage time in accordance with deliverables
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new challenges and learn quickly in a dynamic environment
Not required but strong plus:
SQL Experience (2+years)
Benefit administration system and process experience
In lieu of Bachelor's degree, 2 or more years of experience in business analytics, management information systems, human resources management, benefits administration or a related field
Previous benefits administration or file integration experience is a plus
Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered
