Job Summary:




The Senior Asset Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting the IT Vendor/Asset manager with the creation and maintenance of best-practice IT asset management processes, and the implementation of those processes, procedures, templates, and training methods using the WellStar asset tracking, configuration management, change control, and financial tools.
This person is expected to independently work well with departmental leaders both inside and outside of IT to develop and maintain all aspects of the asset financial tracking and analysis processes. The Senior Asset Analyst is expected to gather and maintain data and reports covering the costs and depreciation of IT assets, as well as how their value is assigned within the organization. They will seek to lead the creation and maintenance of process documentation, covering asset tracking, reporting, and accounting.
The senior asset analyst must be comfortably able to represent the IT vendor/asset management team within the organization, and also serve as mentor and auditor of Asset Analysts. Under the coordination of the manager of the IT Vendor/Asset Management team, this person will help lead efforts to improve cost tracking and the cost effective use of IT assets.
The Senior Asset Analyst is also expected to have a broad experience and knowledge in ITAM processes and technology, and serve as a training resource for the IT Vendor/Asset Management team.
The Senior Asset Analyst is expected to configure and operate a set of routine asset inventory and inventory auditing procedures, resulting in periodically generated reports. The Asset Analyst will be expected to explain and identify trends and variances in such inventory reports to senior IT leadership.




Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:




Data Acquisition and Analysis
Use and improve the processes of our asset management tools, ServiceDesk, Field Services, and IT Warehouse teams to accurately gather and analyze data about the flow and accounting of IT assets as they travel into, through, and out of our organization.
Generate routine reports and data sets to increase the visibility that IT leadership and the organization as a whole has into what assets are available, how they are distributed, and how they are aging.
Planning for Efficient Use of IT Assets
Creation of routine processes and reports to track how assets are being utilized within the organization, and work with the IT Vendor/Asset Manager to develop a strategy to improve the efficiency of how WellStar utilizes its assets. This may include asset migration/reassignment, changing the makeup of the pool of assets, and/or changing the way assets are utilized throughout their life-cycle.
Assist in rolling out processes and tools to increase the visibility of asset utilization to all WellStar personnel in the form of self-serve reporting and data analysis functions.
Cost Accounting
Stand up an asset cost accounting system by activating and enhancing the features of the tools we have on hand to track assets and financials.
Work with the IT Vendor/Asset Manager to provide accurate and timely asset accounting data to the WellStar Accounting team, to IT senior management, and to the senior management of the greater organization.
Process Improvement
Documentation of the processes used to track assets in both the logistic and financial sense.
Act to continuously improve the processes used to track and manage IT assets, through training, encouragement, team leadership, and process enforcement in a multi-departmental workgroup.
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Education:






  • Bachelors Accounting or Bachelors Business Administration/Management or Bachelors Computer and Information Science





Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):




All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.







    Additional License(s) and Certification(s):




    ServiceNow certification Upon Hire Preferred




    Required Minimum Experience:




    Minimum 8 years or more working directly with IT asset tracking processes and systems, including both logistical and financial tracking Required and
    Experience with an enterprise level asset tracking system or configuration management database, such as ServiceNow or Remedy Required and
    Experience in the implementation and configuration of asset management process workflows in ServiceNow is preferred Preferred and
    Experience in the implementation of project management process workflows and interfaces in ServiceNow is a plus Required




    Required Minimum Skills:




    Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, Visio);
    Customer service skills via phone and email.
    Attention to detail and focus on meeting deadlines.
    Understanding of database structures (tables, records, fields, forms, queries)
