As we prepare for an exciting transformation, Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort is evolving into The Sunny, a fresh, reimagined destination. With our revitalized vision comes the need for a dynamic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and ensure a smooth transition into this new era of hospitality.


The future Sunny in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach is poised to redefine the beach getaway experience offering a perfect blend of rich history and unparalleled amenities. The resort will feature 339 spacious guest rooms, an eclectic private art collection, six food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, spa & salon, ocean-front pool with tiki bar and fire pits, beach club, and over 22,000 square feet of event space, including a unique oceanfront terrace.



Responsibilities





What you will be doing:

• Oversee financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support the hotel's transformation.
  
  


• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies.
  
  


• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to ownership and leadership.
  
  


• Implement financial controls and drive cost efficiencies while maintaining service excellence.
  
  


• Manage audits, cash flow, and financial risk assessments.
  
  


• Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with operational strategies.
  
  

Qualifications




What you bring to the table:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  
  


• 5+ years of financial leadership experience in hospitality, preferably with hotel renovations or rebranding.
  
  


• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and hotel financial systems.
  
  


• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  
  


• Ability to navigate change and support a major brand transition.
