We are seeking an Associate UX Designer to assist in creating user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for in-game features, collaborating with senior designers and engineers to implement and refine designs. Your role will involve developing mockups, prototypes, and user flows, gathering feedback to improve the experience, and ensuring consistency across the game's UI. You'll learn and grow within the team, contributing to the overall design standards and enhancing the player experience.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is either Albany, NY, or Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Create and assist in the development of UX/UI designs that contribute to the game's goals and improve the player experience through mockups, prototypes, and layouts.


• Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to help implement interface screens based on efficient layout design and specifications.


• Assist in refining UX/UI based on user feedback, user research, and team reviews.


• Contribute to the UX/UI team by supporting design tasks and assisting in creating a cohesive game experience.


• Help identify opportunities to improve workflow and contribute to team processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in UI/UX design, interaction design, or a related role, with a focus on user interfaces.


• Hands-on experience implementing UI designs in at least one game engine (e.g., Unity, Unreal, or similar).


• Demonstrated ability to follow and apply established design patterns consistently in a production environment.


• Experience designing for at least one control scheme (e.g., controllers, mouse & keyboard, or touch screens).

Bonus Points:

• Interest in the Diablo franchise or action role-playing games (ARPG).


• Experience designing interfaces for various platforms or control schemes.


• A general interest in the gaming community and how it influences design choices.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $30.05 - $55.59 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
