Certified Nursing Assistants at Traditions Home Health Services in Milford, Massachusetts

Job Description:

Traditions Home Health Services is currently seeking compassionate, skilled, reliable, and experienced Certified Nursing Assistants who can assist with our clients who are Veterans that reside in the Milford area.

Available Shifts:
Typically, these Veteran clients have contracts for 45-hour shifts.
Example: 8a-12p, 9a-1p, 10a-2p or 8a-1p multiple days per week

Some Veterans are allotted for 3-hour shifts
Example 9a-12p multiple days per week

CNA Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily living activities, including toileting, incontinence care, bathing, dressing, grooming, nail care, oral hygiene, and skin integrity maintenance.
- Monitoring vital signs, facilitating daily exercises according to the client's care plan, performing range of motion exercises, and walking.
- Assisting the client with their meals in accordance with the client's care plan and ensuring adequate fluid intake throughout the shift.
- Conversations; providing companionship, possible outings to ballgames, movies, etc.
- Adhering to infection control protocols.
- Administering medication reminders and assisting with the application of eye drops, ointments, creams, and ear drops.
- Conducting household support such as laundry, folding, putting away clothes, changing sheets, vacuuming, washing dishes, and dusting to maintain a safe and clean home environment for the client.
- Providing transportation for outings, errands, and appointments, if needed.
- CNA would monitor and assist client with all transfers and ambulation, client is a fall risk.
- Proficient in dementia care.
- Competently documenting shift activities digitally using a smartphone frequently during the shift.
- Competently documenting during the shift client's fluid intake and meals eaten
- CNA would report any concerns to the Traditions Home Health Services Office Support Team in a timely manner
