Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Attorney with experience in private funding, real estate funding, and preferably Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac funding programs to handle a variety of real estate and commercial legal matters. The successful candidate will be involved in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing real estate agreements, commercial leases, purchase agreements, and financing documents. You will also offer strategic advice and support on real estate transactions, private funding deals, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate, draft, and review commercial real estate agreements, leases, purchase contracts, and financing documents, including private funding and real estate financing agreements.
Advise clients on real estate transactions, zoning, land use, regulatory compliance issues, and funding mechanisms, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac-backed transactions.
Provide legal counsel on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, private funding arrangements, and financing.
Represent clients in real estate disputes, including lease disputes, construction issues, title disputes, and funding-related issues.
Collaborate with clients, other attorneys, and external parties such as title companies, lenders, brokers, private investors, and government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs).
Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, including those involving private and institutional funding.
Stay current on developments in real estate law, private funding trends, and GSE regulations.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in MN.
5+ years of experience in real estate and commercial law, with a focus on transactions, leasing, and private or real estate funding.
Strong knowledge of real estate law, including zoning, land use, property development, private funding structures, and government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs)
Experience with real estate financing, including private equity funding, venture capital, institutional investment, and transactions involving Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac programs
Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience in commercial litigation (a plus)
