Zurich E&S is currently looking for an Underwriting Portfolio Manager reporting directly to the Head of Zurich E&S Casualty. Zurich E&S Casualty is a new team that combines the Zurich E&S Excess Casualty team with the new Zurich E&S Primary Casualty team. This position will be responsible for overseeing portfolio management for the underwriting team, developing and overseeing streamlined casualty underwriting referrals, managing referrals (as needed), helping to improve and streamline underwriting processes within E&S Casualty, and providing technical guidance and referral recommendations as a subject matter expert. Additional responsibilities include mitigating portfolio exposure by understanding emerging issues, working with Zurich E&S's Chief Underwriting Officer in the execution of underwriting quality reviews and the development and implementation of reusable E&S Casualty training resources to streamline efficient onboarding and upskilling of managers, underwriters and ASAs.
The E&S Casualty Underwriting Portfolio Management position will be expected to travel as necessary to support the internal needs of the team. The position is a critical role and requires advanced knowledge of all casualty industry segments. Collaboration across Zurich E&S and North American underwriting leadership will be required.

The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $172,000.00 - $269,000.00. The proposed salary range for the AVP is $172,000.00- $222,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%. For the VP is $209,000.00- $269,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 25%.
