This position will be responsible for supporting the broader Direct Lending team for Global Credit, with a focus on valuations, projection modeling, enhancing platform analytics, data governance, fundraising and investor relations requests, and assisting with technology initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with the review of all valuations in the Direct Lending space; data and process governance; updating and reviewing fund projection models; developing key management reports on both a fund and platform level; and other ad-hoc projects.
This position requires strong finance and reporting experience, knowledge of the alternative investment industry, sound organizational and analytical skills as well as ability to build rapport with various constituents throughout the firm, service providers and Carlyle investors. In addition, the individual should be able to work independently in a fast paced environment, be deadline-oriented and possess strong analytical, forecasting and modelling skills as well as advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
Responsibilities
25% of time - Valuations
Assist with reviewing investment valuations across all Direct Lending funds.
Track and manage quarterly valuation deliverables to assure compliance with internal controls
Work closely with deal teams to solve for complex valuation situations, escalating as required
Support the development and refinement of valuation models to better address credit investments.
Assist with identifying and developing standard processes to streamline valuation process and add efficiencies to preparation of valuations
25% of time - Modeling, Reporting & Analytics
Maintain and enhance projection models for Direct Lending funds
Build out enhanced analytics and reporting for performance and valuations
Develop key management reports and credit focused valuation analytics, including:
Work with third party administrators and technology department to develop reporting capabilities and tools including self-service across a range of business functions.
Identification of credit specific metrics to include in reporting
Assist with regular/Ad-hoc reporting requests from fund/segment/firm leadership
Assist with the ongoing delivery of performance reporting and analytics
25% of time - Data Governance & Technology Initiatives
Assist in driving strategy within vertical on data and technology initiatives with respect to investment, fund and investor data to drive consistent reporting across products.
Execute on technology projects as key business partner
Document policies and guidelines, partnering with other functions, that helps improve quality and promotes consistency across Global Credit
Promote ongoing adherence to established policies and guidelines
Support other, firm-wide initiatives particularly around data management, reporting
25% of time - Fundraising & Investor Relations:
Oversee aggregation of all data needed for fund-related marketing, including flipbooks, teaser, due diligence questionnaires, quarterly investor updates, and other ad-hoc marketing materials/presentations
Oversee coordination of investor requests specific to Fund Management with Investor Relations and deal team
Qualifications
Education & Certificates
Bachelors degree, required
Concentration in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, preferred
CPA/CFA or progress towards CPA or CFA is a plus
Professional Experience
5-7 years relevant experience required
Firm understanding of valuation concepts regarding operating companies and other debt/equity financial instruments
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience analyzing and modelling cash flows
In-depth knowledge of cash flow analysis and financial modelling
Strong finance and reporting experience with advanced knowledge of the alternative investment industry
Ability to work across departments and teams in a collaborative and efficient manner

Benefits/Compensation
The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $155,000.
