Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Operate and maintain material handling equipment while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment to complete projects in a timely manner and within specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates a manually controlled gasoline or diesel-powered forklift to transport goods and material within a warehouse, military motor park, or other outdoor environment

• Loads and downloads various containers up to 20 feet within a container yard

• Performs weekly PMCS on assigned equipment

• Perform minor operator maintenance

• Cleans container yard as necessary

• Performs ground guide duties as necessary

• Operate and transports containers/material utilizing flatbed

• Adherence to all TLC Policies accessed through Deltek Costpoint via the following path.

o People > Employee Self Service > Company > Company Links > TLC Policies.

• This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

o Hours of work 7:30AM -4:30PM (M-F)

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• No supervisory responsibilities required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Essential :

• High School graduate or equivalent

• Valid Class A or B Driver's License

• Must maintain post driving privileges

• Must be able to obtain access to military installation

• Excellent personal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize work and multitask while meeting target dates

Preferred :

• Prior work with military/government preferred

Requirements:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone ; and the manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site.

Work performed indoors and outdoors. May involve exposure to inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. No travel requirements. Will work 40 hours work week with a possibility to work weekends and/or holidays if mission/operations require. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

EXPECTATIONS:

Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.
