Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to cover New England and upstate New York.
This position is entirely remote. The ideal candidate is based within 50 miles of a major airport to facilitate travel for business purposes.
Responsibilities:
-Identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities via cold calling, industry networking, and referrals
-Maintain and expand upon current customer base by building and maintaining rapport with customers
-Accomplish sales goals and targets
-Support and grow distribution platforms
-Provide accurate forecasts and budgets for potential sales
-Demonstrate a broad knowledge of our product range, technical knowledge, and product applications
-Capture customer and market intelligence
-Organize product demonstrations in collaboration with our technical team
-Product sales presentations
Requirements:
-Minimum 3-5 years outside sales experience; preferably in the baking/food/beverage industry Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.)
-Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
-Needs to be well organized and be able to be flexible with baking hours
-Proven track record of developing sales territories, exceeding sales targets and fostering relationships with customers and key accounts
-Proven results in relationship building, negotiation skills, strategic insight and concept thinking.
-Must have the ability to advise and manage corporate accounts as well as retail accounts
-Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and CRM software
-Self-disciplined, works independently, and has a solid ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
-Candidate must have the availability to work effectively from a home office up to 40%+/- travel via driving, air travel, and overnight stays to the assigned region as needed
