Software Tester/QA: III (Senior) at Horizontal Talent in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Tester/QA: III (Senior) to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects and drive the transition from Waterfall to Agile methodologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a key QA member in both Waterfall and Agile teams.
• Establish a solid baseline for testing activities on projects without an existing QA process.
• Assist in the transition from Waterfall to Agile/Scrum methodology to drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria for completeness and identify potential gaps.
• Create and execute Timekeeping test plans, scenarios, and test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Maintain a regression suite and provide estimates for test effort.
• Coordinate UAT testing phases and facilitate testing meetings, summarizing results.
• Report issues/defects and provide go/no-go recommendations based on test results.
• Generate and maintain metrics, prioritizing and organizing documentation consistently.

Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of Time Keeping experience.
• Proficient in testing methods and software implementations.
• Strong active listening and documentation skills.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Creative problem solver with the ability to think outside the box.
• Effective communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Experience with ADO and the ability to work in an ambiguous environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in driving teams toward an Agile approach.
• Strong collaboration and coordination skills.
• Ability to provide team metrics on a weekly basis.
