Safely performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all equipment with the ability to troubleshoot all plant equipment with little downtime.
General Duties:
Must be able to perform current operational work standards
Must possess a background in general maintenance with the following skills: welding (stick & mig), cutting torch, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication and knowledgeable of three phase power.
Must have conduit experience
Should be familiar with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.
Responsible for assisting other maintenance technicians and performs other
General maintenance duties when assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred.
Able to read and use electrical schematics
Performs all preventive and predictive maintenance.
Responsible for performing maintenance on trouble-shooting equipment.
PLC based controls and ladder logic.
Performs all general maintenance duties when assigned by the department
supervisor.
Mechanical skills needed include:
power transmission, drives and conveyors
fans, drives and operation theory
hand tools and their use
general metal working knowledge
boiler operation and maintenance
basic welding theory and application
cutting torch
hydraulics and pneumatics
Understands facility fire protection systems, alarms and controls, including spark suppression system and related controls.
Responsible for following facility environmental requirements.
Cleans equipment and adheres to cleaning standards for the Maintenance department.
Works closely with production to aid in safe, productive equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED Preferred along with three years' experience in troubleshooting equipment is preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to :
Stand for long period of time, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, bend twist, push and pull
Must be able to lift and move up to 100lbs.
Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures due to weather conditions
Must be able to work in high dust and dirt environment
