C Crew (7am - 7pm) Rotating
Pay Rate: $20.49
General Duties
Monitors Fezer and Moore Dryers.
• Evaluates grading system to ensure accuracy.
• Performs maintenance on Dryers.
• Works on dryer plug-ups and getting the dryers back up and running ASAP.
• Dryer Tenders must be able to recognize veneer grades.
• Must be able to flex to other roles as needed to help the flow of material through the Drying process.
• Works with maintenance-on-maintenance days. TPM's and workorders for the dryers
• Mechanical knowledge
• Monitors dryers for maximum production and quality daily.
• TPMs are a part of every position in the mill. This may include mandatory overtime
• Additional duties as assigned.
Safety:
Position is exposed to several moving chains, sprockets, and belts. Hands should be kept clear of any unguarded nip point and incidences should be reported to the dryer tender or leadman immediately.
• Must be able to perform all areas of LOTO.
• Safety glasses, hearing protection, Steel toed shoes and area appropriate gloves must be worn.
• Ability to lift at maximum 50 lbs.
• Work area should be kept as clean as possible. Continuous monitoring is required.
QUALITY:
• Proper settings on the dryer are needed because of the potential of wet material getting to the next process causing delams.
• Overdrying can be an issue due to dry out for the next process.
• Correct grading and sorting are a must.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED Preferred
• Entry Level Computer Skills.
• Ability to work from detailed instructions and make minor decisions.
• Regular work with lightweight materials is involved, but occasional work with moderate weight materials may also be required.
• Continuous mental and visual attention and the individual usually works in short, repetitive cycles.
