Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

Job Function - General:

 

  • Plans, directs and monitors all production activities within an assigned area or unit to maximize the use of the organizations' resources and meet established production specifications and schedules, volume, cost and wastage targets and quality standards.
  • Develops and implements manufacturing schedules and procedures and allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity.
  • Analyzes production, maintenance and malfunction records to identify problems and recommend solutions (for example changes to procedures, workflow or equipment) that will improve performance.
  • Liaises with functional or operational area managers (for example in supply and logistics or sales) to understand their current and future product needs and develop plans, cost estimates and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities.
  • Plans, prioritizes and manages production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
  • Leads, directs, evaluates and develops a team of supervisors who are responsible for various production activities such as assembly, machine operation, processing, treating or packaging.

 

The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Contacts/Cooperation:

  • Represents the organization as a prime contact on projects and departmental operations. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on issues often requiring coordination across organizational lines.

Supervision Given and Received:

  • Directs the activities of a broad functional area through division heads who are responsible for planning, budgeting, costs, methods and employees.
  • Determines actual organizational structure and allocation of resources.

 

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  The range provided is a reasonable estimate.



Target Based Range

$154,801 - $221,144

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

 

Education and Professional Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 10-15 years related experience, plus a minimum of 5 years management experience required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Requires breadth of organizational, professional field, and industry knowledge.
  • Ability to integrate critical information from several diverse areas.
  • Champions advanced strategies and concepts.

Problem Solving:

  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
