This is a key position in the growing and dynamic marketing department of Navien. The ideal candidate for this position has Both B2C and B2B marketing experience and is familiar with Navien and/or the plumbing & heating industry. They must have superior organizational skills and have previous experience organizing and hosting corporate events as well as managing trade shows of all sizes. This person must be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, and be able to manage a large number of events at the same time. They must be flexible and able to work well in a team environment. Up to 30% travel is expected, both domestic and international. Essential attributes include excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to multitask and remain focused in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment. This person dives into the details while always keeping the big picture in mind. In addition, the Senior Marketing Events Coordinator must be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, be resourceful, be willing to be a leader, and be enthusiastic about their responsibilities. The ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships is crucial.
Responsibilities:
Support the Marketing Manager with all aspects of trade show and associated event management
Perform all administrative aspects of events including pre-planning, invitations, materials, RSVPs, registration, logistics, venue coordination, program implementation, and follow-up
Assist in maintaining internal events calendar. Provide support to marketing team, including gathering content for event communications, and to third parties (ie. Exhibit house) on all events
Maintain an efficient system of standard procedures for tracking all aspects of events
Support all aspects of event-day preparation and logistics coordination. Conduct pre and post-conference meetings with management staff
Manage event budget and negotiate vendor contracts
Schedule all accommodations for VIPs as needed
Conduct site visits to plan event layout, seating, design and menu where applicable
Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met
Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales operations.
Participate in trade show setup, attendance, and break-down
Manage all outside Associated Memberships, Trades show membership, and sponsorships.
Travel to events both Domestic and International
Coordinate all Regional Development Fund (RDF) trade show events and association sponsorships
Work closely with accounting regarding all marketing credit card charges, invoices, and checks
Conduct market research and stay knowledgeable about the industry and show trends
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Communications
5 years similar experience
Strong customer service skills and a sense of responsibility and follow-through
Excellent verbal communication, spelling, and writing skills
The ability to handle several projects at once under deadline pressure is essential
An ability to understand, research, write and deliver summaries on a range of business issues
Experience working with Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience in working with Smart Sheets is benificial
Travel as required, domestic and international
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven marketing and communications experience.
Experience organizing and implementing marketing trade shows and or other events/programs.

Pay Scale: $28-$31 per hour DOE + eligible for an annual bonus
