Volt is immediately hiring for a Production Supervisor in West Columbia, SC.

As a Production Supervisor you will:

• Responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality and cost goals.
• Responsible to produce several processes/lines in a highly technical environment.
• Lead a team comprising individual professional (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsive requirements.
• Reviews daily/regularly plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiency/quality.
• Troubleshoots/analyses operational problems and advises on their resolution. Holds regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding/capability.
• Receives and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and works with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
• Provides technical/operational advice to project teams.
• May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
• May train and coach junior operators.
• Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.
• Initiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects.
• Assist in department budget planning and manage department expenses.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with standards.

This is a Part-time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
• Demonstrates basic people and/or process management skills.
• Operations and technical skills and understanding of company functional standards.
• General knowledge of functional concepts and a rudimentary understanding of policies and procedures.
• Awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions


Education / Experience
Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in addition to 6 years of operations experience.
Pay Rate: $33.00 per hour Shift: PT - 0700am - 0530pm Friday and Saturday
