Eagle Eye Electric, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified QC Manager for Alaska Corps of Engineers and other similar government projects in Alaska. This is an Anchorage based position, and the person will act as the QC Manager on projects throughout Alaska, with possible work in Valdez, Kodiak, Fairbanks, and the Nome region. Applicants need to be a graduate engineer, graduate architect, or a graduate with a BS degree in construction management with a minimum of 5 years combined experience as a superintendent, inspector, QC Manager, project manager, or construction manager on government construction projects similar in nature to these.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and manage project submittal registers
Assist with creating project specific Quality Control Plan's
Collection & Submission of all necessary submittals
Coordination & lead Preparatory Phase meetings
Conduct Initial Phase & Follow UP Phase Meetings as required
Assure safety requirement are strictly adhered to
Prepare and submit daily Quality Control reports as required by contract
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)
Five years' experience as quality control manager on industrial or commercial projects. Federal project experience preferred
Experience on projects exceeding $500
Experience working with the Corps of Engineers (USACE) and other DOD Agencies
Current USACE or NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM) certification
OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained after employment)
Current favorable National Agency Check with inquiry (NACI), in accordance with AR 380-67
The individual must be familiar with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.
Preferred
Must have working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Outlook
Valid Driver's License
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with military personnel, management and colleagues,
Experience using Resident Management System

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The Project Quality Control Manager duties are performed in both office and field (construction site) settings. Occasional travel may be required. It also requires adjusting of work time to accommodate the project demands.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises direct reports.
