Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their team in Georgia. This position is an excellent opportunity for a skilled accounting professional to manage various financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, and support financial reporting activities. The role involves collaboration with different departments to ensure accurate financial processing and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments, collections, and reconciliations.
Record and post journal entries for prepaid expenses, freight allocations, depreciation, and adjustments.
Assist with month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
Support cash flow projections and budget preparation alongside the controller.
Prepare and process customer invoices for deposits, progress payments, and machine sales.
Reconcile vendor statements and ensure accurate payment processing for domestic and international suppliers.
Work with sales and service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and track payment statuses.
Assist in preparing 1099s, commission reconciliations, and other compliance-related reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience.
Background in distribution or manufacturing strongly preferred.
Comfortable handling both clerical tasks and higher-level accounting responsibilities.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 per year
