Your impact as a Hospital Distribution Specialist is vital. Support Vitalant's life saving mission by receiving and preparing orders of blood products for shipment and delivery to local hospital customers. You will play a crucial role in supporting complex blood center operations, involving tasks such as product labeling and recovered plasma shipments.

Schedule: MONDAY-WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY 12AM-8:30AM

• Receive, prepare, and ship routine, ASAP and STAT orders for blood and blood products.


• Select appropriate blood components, ensuring accuracy in type, ageing, and meeting request criteria. Conduct visual inspections of each product prior to packaging for any abnormalities.


• Professionally and safely deliver blood products to Vitalant customers using a company vehicle.


• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfillment, turnaround times, estimated arrival times and product availability.


• Maintain accurate hospital service records, recording transactions and processing associated fees.


• Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment, vehicles and work areas, while assisting management with equipment validation.

Requirements

• High School or GED required.


• Valid in-state drivers license.


• One year of customer service experience required.


• Prior laboratory experience preferred.


• Prior healthcare industry experience preferred.


• Able to lift 40lbs.
