The Director Real Estate is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic leadership for the organization's real estate portfolio, driving growth and efficiency through strategic planning, portfolio optimization, and high-impact project execution. This role collaborates with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align real estate initiatives with organizational objectives and long-term goals.



Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Develop and oversee the execution of the organization's real estate strategy, including acquisitions, leases, dispositions, and portfolio optimization.
  • Lead and manage high-value real estate transactions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and achieving favorable terms.
  • Provide strategic guidance on site selection, property development, and market entry to support organizational growth.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as legal, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of real estate initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze real estate market trends, property valuations, and economic conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee lease administration processes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and timely decision-making.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive real estate reports, strategies, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with landlords, brokers, developers, and other external partners to facilitate effective partnerships and transactions.
  • Conduct financial analyses, including ROI assessments, cost-benefit evaluations, and budget forecasting, to inform decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and portfolio optimization within the organization's real estate holdings.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on large-scale real estate projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to real estate transactions and property management.
  • Foster a high-performing team culture by mentoring and developing team members, ensuring they achieve professional growth and excellence.
  • Works to develop holistic perspective on the organization, its vision, and its activities.
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, technique, and evaluation criteria for success.
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Proactive in identifying and clearing roadblocks for the team.
  • Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning functional area.
  • Performs other duties as needed.



Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 10+ years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
