JobSummary:

The Sr. Project Controls Specialist is a senior level positionthat performs all project controls functions including scheduling and costcontrol. The Sr. Project Controls Specialist will work with schedulers, costanalysts, project managers, and other key stakeholders to refine deliverablesprior to stage gate reviews. This position will also be a key point of contactfor upper management to discuss high-visibility projects and processdevelopment/improvement for the Project Controls team.

JobDuties and Responsibilities:

• Assistproject manager to develop project scope of work.

• Study andunderstand all relevant project documents pertaining to the preparation ofplans and

schedules.

• Work withall relevant project and discipline personnel to prepare plans and schedules.

• Convertscope of work document into logically linked resourced-loaded project schedule.

• Preparerealistic, achievable schedules as logical networks and where necessaryintegrate

engineering,procurement, and construction schedules.

• Monitorprogress against project schedule and prepare progress reports.

• Gatheraccurate progress and expended cost information at relevant time intervals.

• Prepare, review,and ensure the timely issue of all relevant reports to stakeholders.

• Verballyand in writing advise project management and discipline personnel onimpacts,

contingenciesand generally guide the scopes towards the earliest possible finish.

• Analyzeprogress and effects on schedule and advise necessary corrective actions.

• Mentorother Project Controls Specialist on the team.

• Developand/or modify Project Controls processes and working procedures based onfeedback from project stakeholders and upper management.

• Serve asa key point of contact for upper management to discuss high-visibility projectsand issues.

• Lead/Assistin the development of Cost and Schedule QRAs (Quantitative Risk Assessment).

• Participatein schedule and project risk analysis as required.

• Mayassist as a Stage Gate Process Gate Reviewer by performing rigorous evaluationsof project

developmentand control deliverables, including business cases presented by project teams.

• Provideinput into the budget forecasting process.

• Trackactual costs and prepare cost forecasts.

• Managecost discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of man-

hourbudgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessedand

includedin the schedules.

Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Basicor Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or the equivalent;

• Requires at least ten (10) years of ProjectControls related experience;

• Requires previous experience utilizingPrimavera P6 to build schedules;

• Must be able to effectively communicate withproject stakeholders and upper management;

• Requires a basic working knowledge of projectmanagement software, specifically Primavera P6 and Excel;

• Requires the ability to manage multipleprojects and determine priorities;

• Must be a skilled writer;

• Must understand the basic principles ofproject management;

• Requires a general understanding of CostManagement, Estimating and Change Control;

• Candidate must reside within a reasonablecommuting distance to work location. Candidates outside a reasonable commuting distance must provide a coverletter regarding intentions to relocate to be considered;

• Candidate must reside within commutingdistance to New Orleans prior to starting employment;

• Must have a high degree of computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Previous experience in the Utility industrypreferred

WorkingConditions:

• Work is conducted in an office environment(Private or Semi-Private Office) and requires occasional travel to off-sitework locations (work may be primarily completed remotely).

• Field duties require outdoor work in a plant orconstruction atmosphere

• Interaction with other team members, as well assupervisors and client personnel

• Working plant, construction, and/or shop areasaround production machinery with extreme noise levels

• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection

• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes

• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.
