Overview

Intelligent Waves is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Technical Operations Support Technician to support our mission critical work in support of our government customer at Fort Meade, MD.

 

As the Technical Operations Support Technician, you will provide critical support for an advanced DoD and Intelligence Community communications system. Your responsibilities include monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting applications, networks, and system infrastructure, ensuring seamless performance in a high-demand environment. Working alongside government and contract engineers, you will handle systems administration, advanced troubleshooting, and issue resolution for a high volume of users.

Security Clearance: The Technical Operations Support Technician  must be a United States citizen and hold a current DoD Secret security clearance or higher. 

NOTE: This position covers Second Shift which is 10 hour shifts from either Sunday to Wednesday, with the flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.

 

Adherence to all customer site protocols is mandatory for employees.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Supporting a large scale full motion video architecture and proactively responding to and fixing issues with the application portal and networking backbone.
• Providing internal and external customers with responsive, concise and accurate status or service updates, issues and risks.
• Interacting in a technical team environment with software, network and systems engineers.
• Identifying documenting, tracking and escalating issues to the Tier III support group as necessary.
• Utilizing network related protocols and services as well as LAN/WAN implementation and troubleshooting.
• Providing assistance with large scale system and architecture implementation and operational support.
• Diagnosing system issues and fault isolation.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Experience with web-based technologies, Linux/Unix operating systems, containerize systems (Docker/Kubernetes) and generating DB queues.
• Knowledge of WAN environments and supporting infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls.
• Must have demonstrated rigorous troubleshooting skills on a large systems.
