Aviation Machinist's Mate (AD) Subject Matter Expert A. Harold and Associates, LLC, is looking for a part-time Aviation Machinist's Mate (AD) Subject Matter Expert (SME). The contractor shall be part of a courseware development team to meet the below outlined duties, responsibilities, and tasks. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Verifies and ensures the technical accuracy of the subject content and the treatment of content in instructional materials chosen or produced for the project
  • Considers the relationship of the subject undergoing development to other subjects in the curriculum or instructional program; makes recommendations to enhance the training situation
  • Identifies elements in the content that may be difficult, confusing or that may be a likely area of trouble for students
  • Travel to attend working group meetings and conferences as required
  • Supports the development team in the analysis, design, and development of the project materials
  • Understands and articulates project scope and vision to align with client and contract requirements
  • Interacts and collaborates with Government SMEs
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required and as directed by the Project Manager
Minimum Required Experience/Skills:
  • Must have at least six (6) years of operational experience with the U.S. Navy AD rating.
  • Last active operational experience must be within the past five (5) years or applicants must be a current member of the active Navy Reserves.
  • Must have obtained at least a rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class (E-5) during active duty for the U.S. Navy service or currently as a member of the active Navy Reserves.
  • Must be able to travel to Pensacola, Florida as required for work assignment.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Preferred to have at least eight (8) years of operational experience with the U.S. Navy AD rating.
  • Preferred to have obtained at least a rank of Petty Officer 1st Class (E-6) during active duty for the U.S. Navy service or currently as a member of the active Navy Reserves.
  • Preferred proficiency in Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
