Location: Hudson, FL

Department: Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt


Responsible for management, planning, development and maintenance of EMS operations to include operations, scheduling and education/training (CE).Monitor protocol adherence and development to include CQI based training and remediation.Works in conjunction with the associated Fire Departments and maintains direct relationships with area healthcare institutions.Maximize opportunities and makes positive influence in problem solving in all matters involving the management of the EMS system.Offers direction to EMS personnel within the operation so the goals of the system are realized.Function as an EMT or Paramedic on an ambulance if the system needs require.Assure quality patient care and high customer satisfaction.Responsible for system planning, both long- and short-term, associated with assigned areas.Monitor the quality of all services provided, ensuring that standards are met or exceeded and promptly directs and coordinates corrective actions when necessary.Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalentEMS or Fire Department EMT or Paramedic experience for at least five (5) yearsMinimum of three (3) years of management experienceState of Florida EMT or Paramedic Licensure and/or NREMT Certification requiredCurrent state of Florida driver licenseProficiency with computers including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic CredentialFive (5) years of EMS or Fire Management experienceTwo (2) years of Community Paramedic ExperienceCommunity Paramedic CredentialCommunity Health Worker CredentialAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Physical Requirements:

• The Operations Manager is required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, step, stoop, kneel; and talk or hear.

• The Operations Manager is required to pull, lift, grasp, reach, use hands, finger movement, and repetitive motions.

• Must frequently lift and/or carry a minimum of 140 pounds up to 200 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Requirements will vary; must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Environment:

Works outdoors and indoors with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions and to blood/body fluids, requires respirator use, fumes/odors, extended day, and temperature
