This is ON-SITE in the Stillwater area. No option for remote/hybrid.
Purpose:
Manage and maintain financial records to ensure accurate tracking of the company's assets, liabilities, profits, and tax obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and maintain monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
Perform account reconciliations, covering bank, payroll, and customer accounts.
Manage the general ledger by reconciling accounts payable/receivable and handling fixed asset depreciation.
Review and audit financial documents, ensuring accurate transaction documentation before settlements.
Approve financial transactions within set limits and ensure proper transaction handling.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Offer guidance on reserves, assets, and expenditures to enhance accounting processes.
Assist external auditors by providing necessary documentation for annual audits.
Prepare and submit tax filings to federal, state, and local authorities.
Develop and update accounting control procedures, ensuring adherence to company policies and GAAP.
Collaborate with software vendors to manage accounting systems, recommending updates as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in property management or real estate, or equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiar with accounting software.
Minimum of 1 year of current experience using Yardi/Voyager.
Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with both cash and accrual accounting.
Strong organizational skills, capable of managing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
