Materials Manager at INTERNATIONAL MARINA GROUP LP in West Palm Beach, Florida

Job Description:

The Materials Manager is responsible for managing parts & materials procurement, sourcing, and pricing.  This role ensures parts & materials required for service work are available in timely manner to complete the project. The Materials Manager is also responsible for sourcing, maintaining positive vendor relationships, and assisting customers and staff with their immediate needs for parts, materials, and supplies.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Support Project Managers, Trade Managers, and Sub Managers with materials sourcing and procurement.  

  • Place purchase orders to suppliers

  • Monitor purchasing trends

  • Source new suppliers that are cost efficient and high quality

  • Continuously meets ongoing company goals

  • Available to work overtime when required

  • Other duties as assigned by Manager


 


  Safety and Environmental Responsibilities



  • Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.

  • Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.

  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.  


 


Technical and Physical Requirements



  • Supply chain degree or experience preferred

  • Prior marina experience preferred

  • Basic knowledge of marine systems preferred

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time

  • Microsoft Office proficiency
