Job Description:

The Marketing Strategy & Marketing Program Director will play a critical role in driving and executing Vertiv's marketing strategies across the Americas region. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of key marketing initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing multiple projects to meet deadlines. The Marketing Strategy & Marketing Program Director will also work closely with the Global marketing Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure alignment and execution of strategies across North and Latin America. The role requires strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and an ability to work cross-functionally to drive business results.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Marketing Strategy Development & Execution
    • Collaborate with the Americas Marketing Leader and the marketing leadership team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with Vertiv's business goals for the Americas region.
    • Create and refine regional marketing plans in alignment with global brand positioning and industry trends, ensuring they resonate with local markets.
    • Partner with global marketing COEs to ensure that marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives are consistent and integrated across regions, while maintaining a tailored approach for the Americas.
    • Create and execute a comprehensive event strategy for tradeshows and other events
    • Analyze regional performance metrics and marketing data to refine strategies and optimize results.


  • Program & Project Management INCLUDING scoping a project
    • Manage and track the delivery of critical marketing initiatives across the Americas, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
    • Develop detailed project plans with tasks, milestones, and deadlines to ensure that all marketing programs are delivered according to schedule.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders across various departments (sales, product, global marketing) to align on deliverables and timelines.
    • Implement and maintain efficient processes for follow-up, issue resolution, and timely completion of marketing projects.
    • Proactively identify potential roadblocks and work with relevant teams to address and resolve them promptly.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with stakeholders, including product teams, sales, and regional marketing teams, to ensure all aspects of marketing campaigns are aligned and executed effectively.
    • Serve as the point of contact for internal teams and external agencies, ensuring clear communication of project timelines, expectations, and deliverables.
    • Provide regular updates to the Americas Marketing Leader on the progress of marketing programs, highlighting key successes, risks, and mitigation plans.


  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Lead and collaborate with the global marketing Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment of marketing programs with global priorities and best practices.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the marketing team by sharing knowledge and lessons learned from marketing initiatives.
    • Influence and drive alignment with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and customer experience, to ensure consistency and effective execution of marketing strategies.


  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, ensuring the timely gathering of performance data and insights.
    • Prepare and deliver regular reports on the status of marketing programs, KPIs, and performance metrics to the Americas Marketing Leader and other key stakeholders.
    • Use insights from data analysis to suggest improvements to existing marketing strategies and processes.



  • Qualifications:


    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

    • Experience:
      • 10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, program management, or project management, ideally within a global or regional organization.
      • Proven track record of successfully managing and executing complex marketing programs and initiatives.
      • Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and execute regional and global strategies.
      • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, brand development, and market research.
      • Experience in the B2B sector (preferably technology or industrial) is a plus.

      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
      • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
      • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and familiarity with project management tools.
