SUMMARY:


The Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving strategic direction and execution of HEDIS improvement projects. This position manages a portfolio of projects which includes creating detailed designs and project plans, working with vendors to ensure projects are executed as planned, issue resolution, cross-team collaboration, and monitoring project performance. Position is also responsible for researching and proposing new solutions and assisting in the implementation of those new strategies. This includes the development of new processes and documentation to explain best practices and strategies to our partner plans and ensure on-going communication of strategic direction and priorities. Position requires extensive experience working with Excel and PowerPoint to develop executive level presentations that explain performance data, processes, and improvement initiatives. Must be comfortable working with vendors, leading meetings, and interacting with teams across the company to obtain information or support. Ability to work independently and with little supervision, and superior organizational and communication skills are required for this fast paced environment.



RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:


  • Responsible for the development and delivery of multiple concurrent projects/programs that encompass business process design and improvement.
  • Supports various initiatives in requirements definition, documentation of current and future state business capabilities, process development, process flows, training, and internal/external communications.
  • Provides expertise in analytical methodology, including data analysis, used to facilitate data driven decision making, including the collection and monitoring of metrics used to assess, prioritize, and select improvement projects.
  • Benchmarks industry best practices to measure organization position.
  • Possess and maintain a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of our industry, products and services, HEDIS measures, and the Star Ratings program which continues to evolve and change.
  • Initiates and leads problem solving efforts working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads in the research, analysis, identification, and evaluation of data from assigned problems to evaluate existing and potential trends and issues.
  • Executes function/area objectives that support continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for special projects and/or problem resolutions.
  • Provides effective and efficient solutions to complex business problems.
  • Provides high level oversight and leadership.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:




EDUCATION:



Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree in a related field preferred. Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.



EXPERIENCE:



Seven (7) years experience of progressive responsibility in a related environment with demonstrated technical knowledge that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required.



SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:


  • Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong project management leadership, facilitation, negotiation, team coaching, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, documentation skills, and attention to detail to develop and maintain comprehensive and detailed documentation of all project activities, issues, lessons learned, and performance reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet necessary deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively exchange information clearly and concisely, present ideas, report facts and other information, respond to questions and employ active listening techniques.
  • Ability to apply the principles of independent logical, analytical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft packages, including Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to build trust and demonstrates integrity in all circumstances.
  • Ability to work with and empower others on a collaborative basis to ensure success of unit team.
  • Ability to effectively present budgetary and/or cost information, and respond to questions as appropriate.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.


WORKING CONDITIONS:



Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Travel may be required.



PAY RANGE:



"Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $92,200 and $154,500."
