The Manager of Investor Relations and Capital Markets will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the company's investor relations strategy while managing critical capital markets activities. This position requires a deep understanding of the company's financial performance, strategic goals, and key business drivers to effectively communicate with investors and analysts, while also supporting financing strategies and managing relationships with external stakeholders such as banks, rating agencies, and advisors. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations, this role is integral in shaping the company's external financial messaging and supporting its long-term capital markets objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Relations:


  • Develop and implement an investor relations strategy to effectively communicate the company's financial performance, business strategy, and outlook to the investment community.

  • Lead the preparation and execution of quarterly earnings activities, including conference call scripts, Q&A preparation, and press releases.

  • Prepare senior executives for investor meetings, conferences, and external communications, including creating high-quality presentation materials.

  • Maintain relationships with investors and sell-side analysts, serving as a key point of contact for inquiries.

  • Monitor and analyze feedback from the investor community, market trends, and peer performance to inform strategy and communications.

  • Manage the investor relations calendar, database of external communications, analyst consensus models, and the company's IR website.

  • Lead quarterly ESG council meetings and drive the implementation of ESG initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with SEC and other regulatory disclosure requirements.

Capital Markets:


  • Support or lead capital markets transactions, including debt issuance, refinancing, and equity financing activities.

  • Monitor and analyze capital markets trends, macroeconomic conditions, and interest rate movements to identify risks and opportunities for the company's capital structure.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of potential capital markets activities on the company's financial position.

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as investment banks, rating agencies, and legal advisors, to support financing strategies.

  • Manage debt maturities, interest obligations, and compliance with financing covenants.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:


  • Work closely with Financial Planning & Analysis, External Reporting, Corporate Communications, Accounting, and Legal teams to align messaging and strategies.

  • Provide strategic insights to senior leadership and the Board of Directors through analysis and presentations on capital markets and investor trends.

  • Partner with the FP&A team to integrate capital markets insights into budgeting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in investor relations, capital markets, corporate finance, or investment banking.

  • Proven experience preparing investor communications and executing financing transactions.

Skills and Competencies:


  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to develop earnings scripts, investor presentations, and other external communications.

  • Deep understanding of capital markets, corporate finance principles, and SEC regulatory requirements.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and scenario analysis.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal business leaders, investors, analysts, and external advisors.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high accuracy and attention to detail.

  • A team-first, collaborative attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Working Conditions:


  • This position is primarily office-based, with occasional travel required for investor meetings, conferences, and capital markets activities.

  • Hybrid work options may be available, depending on company policy.
