We’re searching for a Business Development Representative who will play a crucial part in identifying potential customers, gathering information, and generating qualified leads to support our sales efforts. The primary focus in the role will be on providing valuable market insights and exploring new business opportunities through thorough research and analysis to help drive our business growth.
Responsibilities
Lead Generation, Prospecting, and Qualification:
Utilize various research methods, including online sources, industry databases, and social media, to identify potential leads and target market segments.
Initiate outbound calls, emails, and other communication methods to engage with potential leads and qualify them based on predetermined criteria.
Conduct in-depth conversations with prospects to assess their needs, budget, and purchasing timeline. Qualify leads based on established criteria and pass them on to the sales team.
Prepare Business Development Managers for interactions with prospective and current partners by providing institution data, relationship history, and relevant market information.
Data Management & Performance Tracking:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leads, prospects, and interactions in our CRM system. Ensure data integrity and cleanliness for effective reporting and analysis.
Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to lead generation, such as conversion rates, lead quality, and pipeline progression. Continuously optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Provide actionable insights to support sales strategies and decision-making.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to lead generation and research. Share knowledge and contribute to the improvement of our sales processes.
Collaborate closely with the sales team to align strategies, share market intelligence, and refine lead qualification criteria.
Assist with core business development activities, such as generating pitch decks
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Previous experience in inside sales, lead generation, or market research is preferred.
Excellent research and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in using various online research tools and CRM systems.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong team player with the willingness to collaborate and contribute to team success.
Ability to take initiative on projects and through external interactions
